The Israel Foundation is a media and cultural organization dedicated to celebrating Jewish heritage, tradition, and religious life. Through our global streaming network — available on Roku, Apple TV, Amazon TV, and Google TV — we bring Torah study, rabbinic teaching, Jewish holidays, and the history and culture of the Jewish people to audiences around the world.
Our mission is educational and spiritual, not political. We are a faith-and-culture platform, not a political advocacy organization, and we do not engage in Zionist advocacy, government policy commentary, or partisan activity of any kind. Our focus is on preserving and sharing Jewish religious tradition, biblical history, and cultural heritage for generations to come.

Judaism and Zionism:
An Important Distinction
The Israel Foundation is a religious and cultural organization. We believe it is important to clearly distinguish between two related but separate concepts: Judaism and Zionism.
Judaism is a religion, culture, and peoplehood dating back roughly 3,500 years, rooted in the Torah, Jewish law and tradition (halacha), and the practices and holidays that define Jewish life and community.
Zionism is a political and national movement that emerged in the late 19th century, advocating for Jewish self-determination and a homeland in the land of Israel. It led to the establishment of the modern State of Israel in 1948.
These are not the same thing. Jewish people hold a wide range of views on Zionism, both historically and today. Some Orthodox communities have long-standing religious objections to Zionism. Others embrace religious Zionism as part of their faith. Many Jewish people, religious and secular alike, hold views on Israeli government policy that are entirely independent of their religious beliefs or practice.
The Israel Foundation's mission is focused on the first of these — Jewish faith, heritage, culture, and community. We are a religious and cultural media organization. We do not take positions on Zionism, Israeli government policy, or any other political matter, and we are not affiliated with any political party, movement, or government.
